Dentist, Finals and Dehydrator

Today was Xander's first dentist appointment. It was really just to get him used to seeing the dentist. They checked his teeth, his 2 year molars are coming in, about a year earlier than the other kids got theirs. They tried to polish his teeth but he didn't like it so they didn't push it. He was excited to get a new toothbrush, a bouncy ball and a lollipop.
Madi had her last final, in Algebra, her most difficult subject. She doesn't know if she passed. She did get good grades on her other three finals. I'm going to try and get her into community colledge next year.
DJ got me an Excalibur dehydrator. It came today and I'm very excited. I've wanted one of these for quite awhile and my 25 year old Ronco finally gave out. As soon as I finished dinner I sliced up 5 pounds of carrots and a pound of tomatoes and loaded it up.

About My Family

So, I abandoned my journal...again. Consistency is not my strong suit, apparently. Let me tell you about my family. I am married to my best friend. DJ and I have been married for 9 years. We have four wonderful, interesting, challenging kids. Madelene is 15, Moira is 7, Grier is 5, and Xander is 18 months. 

Today was a pretty laid back day. It was cloudy and drizzly this morning, but sunny and warm by afternoon. The kids went and explored the tree that fell in the neighbor's yard and smashed a corner of her house. It wasn't even very windy last night.
